About Me

👩🏻‍🎓 I am a PhD Candidate at Indiana University’s Intelligent Systems Engineering department advised by faculty in the Engineering, Computer Science, and Informatics departments to name a few. I am also a proud alumni of The Pennsylvania State University, Southeastern University, and The State University of New York, at Buffalo.

🔭 My focus is on Biometrics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision. Specifically applying machine learning, AI models for early detection in healthcare-related topics. My recent papers address machine learning models and classification applicable to healthcare-related diseases. So far I have developed models for Northrop Grumman through a summer internship to name a few.

👩‍💻 Before embarking on a Ph.D. at IU, I obtained a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Psychology where my honors thesis was, “The negative and positive emotional impact on mental health due to social media engagement”, a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), a Masters in Industrial and Systems Engineering-Human Factors (MSIE), and a Masters in Intelligent Systems Engineering (MSE).

👩‍🏫 I have had the opportunity to teach others. I’ve helped facilitate courses such as Human Factors in Safety (IE 541), Data Mining (CS-B565-7493), and Visual Analytics (ENGR-E 583 & E483) to name a few. I’ve written and won grants as Lead/Co-PI, fellowships, and obtained patents.

🏃‍♀️ In my spare time, I like running marathons, going to the gym, doing all things AI, watching movies, listening to new music, gaming, playing the trumbone, piano, guitar, traveling, and taking photographs.
